Hand painted piano

Painting this piano was my first project in Favrholm Campus. I used a special mix of car paint to get the right finish on this shiny surface.

I wanted to bring the beautiful inside of the piano to the outside by using the sound making parts, like strings and hammers in my own melodious composition. It starts on the left side with the bass and thus a bolder design and continues to the right with the high-pitched sounds and lighter lines.

Favrholm Campus Novo Nordisk Centre of Learning is a conference center outside of Copenhagen. They focus on learning through knowledge and innovation which is reflected in the experimental architecture and design. I have been their in-house-artist since the opening in 2011 painting murals in the meeting rooms, restrooms and the guest rooms and also designing beer labels for their restaurant.

It has been a great experience to be part of a place where design, art and food go together in this way. Favrholm is originally an old farm, and is now a combination of old history and new architecture with layers of old stories, people and animals living in harmony with Novo Nordisk high technology profile. This ambience, in combination with the richt bird life in the area has been an important inspiration for the murals I have created.
